Emma Sullivan:
Jellyfish
Swim School was started by Emma Sullivan in January 2003 after
she recognised the need for a school that gave children the
individual attention and encouragement they need to build
water confidence. Emma is a highly qualified sports coach,
who has been teaching swimming for 12 years. She is qualified
by the ASA (Amateur Swimming Association) and is a qualified
Lifeguard and First Aider.
Emma began teaching aerobics in 1994, before becoming a gym instructor,
fitness tester, exercise counsellor and swimming instructor.
During this time, she has gained extensive knowledge in anatomy,
physiology and kinesiology and biomechanics.
After returning from travelling around the world, Emma gained coaching
and umpiring qualifications in various sports, before going
back to teaching. She spent 3 years at Ashdown House Prep
School in Forest Row, coaching and umpiring sports including
netball, hockey, athletics and swimming. She has worked as
a part time sports coach at Fonthill Lodge Independent Day
School and part-time swimming teacher at Kings Leisure Centre
where she has also ran the Children's Holiday Club.
